I need to get patents for it and then figure out the best way to go forward (manufacture it, sell it, partner it, etc). I live in the community of Wenatchee and would like to know if there is anyone here that is a member and can help with a face to face meeting...? I tried the SCORE folks and all they wanted to do was steer me to a service that their members were involved in, for a fee of course..1 month ago

"Recognize the problem: health care’s money and data and power are still locked up in huge institutions that don’t have it in their business plans to give up that position — whatever their mission statements might say. Nor do those business plans also largely exclude non-provider innovators, the entrepreneurs, and the developers."
[ Innovators, health entrepreneurs and developers must be the "irresistible force" to go around the "immovable object."

The blog is at- http://medcitynews.com/2013/03/why-healthcare-isnt-ready-for-innovation-docs-vendors-hospital-hiring-practices/
Mr. McCown rages- "The entire industry treats computers like big electronic pieces of paper. They print things they can easily email, they manually enter in things they could easily write a form for, and they perform repetative manual tasks they could easily script. It’s pathetic how far behind the industry as a whole is and the people who work in it are so close-minded I don’t see how they ever get anything done."
The comments make for additional lively reading. Health entrepreneurs will have to be the "irresistible force" needed to shift the healthcare "immovable object" off its pedestal. Could be a long haul.
Even more fundamental is health literacy regarding nutrition, exercise and activity (mental as well as social). These make up the foundation for good health or create the precursors to disease and infirmity.
